Longterm Youth Classes 2017-2018

Registration is now open to all students.
Classes for the 2017-2018 year began September 4th.

Our longterm youth classes are structured to teach students the basics of fine art mediums, and then continue to grow and enhance our understanding of those techniques.
We begin the year learning and refining the basics of drawing, as well as how drawing influences all other art forms and mediums. From there we build on our understanding of shape, form, and color theory. Each subsequent lesson looks back to the last and helps to create a well-rounded art education.
Students will have the opportunity to explore the following mediums: graphite, charcoal, oil pastels, gouache paint, watercolor, acrylic paint, oil paint, earthenware clay, porcelain clay, relief printmaking, and screen printing.
